Tired of your ADHD ruining your life?

Patricia Sung, Your ADHD Coach for Moms With ADHD

As an Adult ADHD coach, I help moms with ADHD rise above overwhelm, take control of their day, and build a life they love–in a way that works with their ADHD brain.

***including moms who suspect they have ADHD, but aren’t totally sure.

When you’re trying to understand your ADHD, you want someone who gets ADHD.

Someone who lives it every day.

I understand ADHD because I have lived with it for over 40 years.

This is a no-judgment zone. Whatever’s got you down about your ADHD, I’ve probably heard it already:

  • Hate brushing your teeth or showering?

  • Drowning out your problems with wine or marijuana?

  • Starting your 3rd company in as many years?

  • Can’t stand your kid because they grate on your nerves day after day?

  • Lost count of the number of moldy, rotten foods in your fridge?

  • Haven’t seen the surface of your dining room table in 4 years?

  • Afraid to try again because you can’t stand the thought of failing again?

  • Forgot to pick up your kid last week?

  • Didn’t want to pick them up at all?

  • Crying on the bathroom floor for the last 3 nights cuz you’re totally overwhelmed and don’t know what to do next?

It’s time to ask for help.

Through years of teaching middle school, and now hosting the Motherhood in ADHD Podcast and community, I’ve taught and guided hundreds of people with ADHD to lean into how they work best and achieve the goals they’ve been drooling over. I understand how all kinds of ADHD brains work.

Because not all ADHD is the same. Everyone has their own flavor of ADHD.

What is ADHD Coaching?

ADHD Coaching is a gift to yourself and your family.

There are lots of different types of ADHD coaching; I specialize in emotional regulation, energy management, and learning to trust yourself, as well as the practical side of ADHD-friendly productivity, strategies, and implementation.

We start with you sharing your goals, what you’re struggling with, and where you’d like to make changes in your life. Basically you word vomit about your dreams and how ADHD is causing you trouble.

I will often ask you to complete the sentence “Today I want to change…” as ADHD Coaching is forward focused.

My job is to keep eyes on the goal, sift through the struggles, and help you find the themes and patterns of where you’re most affected. Having an objective, outside set of ADHD-trained eyes on the big picture gives you a window to identify what you couldn’t see from inside the fire. I help you see where your ADHD is flavoring life so you know in your heart that it’s not your moral failing or terrible personality. It’s ADHD. And that means we can work WITH it!

Together we find the ADHD-friendly solutions to match your unique situation. You’ll lean into your giftings while bumper-padding your weaknesses.

No more decision fatigue or analysis paralysis. I help you clearly identify the step-by-step plan that will allow you to meet your goals in a way that feels aligned with your values, a plan that is doable and achievable for you in your life as it is right now.

ADHD Coaching Options

I offer both Group ADHD Coaching, as well as a limited number of 1:1 appointments.

Some mamas prefer 1-on-1 attention and more dedicated time to work on tailored solutions.

Some mamas need privacy due to their public persona or career situations, i.e. my clients who are psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, doctors, lawyers, and other professions that may require more discretion.

Individual sessions are one hour long via Zoom. So that you can be entirely present for our conversation, I will share the recordings of our sessions so you can refer back, if you’d like, instead of feeling distracted by furiously scribbling notes.

1-on-1 ADHD Coaching may be the best option for you. Packages are listed below.

Other mamas prefer the Flexibility and community of Group ADHD Coaching.

Group ADHD Coaching comes with a built-in community of other moms who get it.

It can be more cost effective, as well as flexible in your participation level. You can share your current struggle, and you and I will find a solution and get you moving forward OR you can listen to what the other mamas are dealing with, apply this new knowledge to your life, and know that you are not alone.

You don’t have to worry about scheduling appointments, as the dates and times are preset, and you can leave early or arrive late without “missing out” on part of your session.

You can stay in your group for as long as you’d like for ongoing support, after the minimum commitment of 3 months.

Group ADHD Coaching meets regularly throughout the month in a small group (usually limited to 6 moms) so that you are never lost in the shuffle, and always feel seen and heard.

Real Support Solving Real Issues

Regardless of which logistics work best for you, we start with how to rewire your brain so you can exit and overcome the thought spirals that drag you down after repeated obstacles and overwhelm. You’ll build skills for anxiety, staying calm, taking care of yourself and prioritizing the goals you most want achieve. You’ll also set up a flexible schedule for your day (that you’ll actually stick to!) because it was built just for you. We build your skillset across the board.

Whether you want help understanding your ADHD brain, setting up your life to support your ADHD and your family, designing your daily routines, or building your business or career so that fits your unique passions, skillset, and brain - we can tackle any of these in our time together for a happier, less stressed you.

Where do you need help most? That is where we start each coaching session.

Balancing your home life as an ADHD mom

I know what it feels like to run around all day like a headless chicken, stressed because you're late to everything, “didn’t get anything done,” and then you collapse on the couch at the end of the night without touching that list you said you’d do once the kids are in bed.

Juggling all the things doesn’t have to be your undoing!

It’s time to stop drowning in overwhelm & chaos, and get to connecting with your kids.

We will sort through the speed bumps making your family life difficult, identify the key roadblocks, and build creative solutions that fit your unique needs.

I want you to know that you can trust yourself and your inner wisdom to know what you and your family need. You can change your capacity for stress so you’re not erupting everyday during homework, or losing your marbles again at bedtime!

When you know how your ADHD brain works, you can get stuff done and feel good about your day and yourself. You’ll feel more confident and capable with your new strategies in place, creating a less stressful day for you and your kids.

Supporting you as a parent of an ADHD child

Totally lost on how to teach your ADHD child the skills you haven’t even mastered yourself?!?

Parenting with ADHD is difficult. Parenting a child with ADHD is difficult. Add them together, and you’ve got a daily you-know-what-storm.

Spotting the ADHD patterns and identifying the root causes makes finding a solution that much easier.

We can improve all sorts of exasperating situations! Together we can build less stressful homework strategies, get your sloth-speed child moving in the morning, or decrease the frequency of epic meltdowns (yours and your kids!)

Because I have ADHD myself, I can help you understand your ADHD child in ways that they aren’t able to express but you’re desperate to grasp. My years of teaching 4th grade through high school give me a wide breadth of experience working with ADHD children of all ages.

You’ll walk away with the skills you need for yourself AND you’ll know how to teach your kids how to be calm, grounded, and confident, too.

As a mom of two young boys, I know you want the best for your ADHD child! Let’s work together to find the best ways for you and your child to flourish together.

Creating Calm: Ending Burnout and Overwhelm

The most common problem that moms tell me when they are debating if ADHD Coaching is right for them? They don’t even know where to start. Everything feels like chaos. It’s all important. And nothing is getting done.

When you’re regular mode of operation is panic, overwhelm, and tiredness, it’s really hard to get started. Often you know what needs to be done, but you don’t have the energy to dig yourself out of the hole on your own.

That’s where I come in. I’m here to help you create calm and confidence, so that you know exactly where to start. And when you start, you’re putting your limited spare time and energy into what is most impactful first. You don’t have to do it all on your own.

In fact, you weren’t meant to.

Patricia’s ADHD Coaching Style

I'm your Topanga: your ADHD Mom / Big Sis / BFF that's encouraging, honest, and a little sarcastic; the one you go to when you're done spinning in circles and want to move forward, like, yesterday.

My flavor of ADHD is inattentive, time-blind, and uber-organized (it’s a coping mechanism!). I’m a recovering perfectionist who’s gone to a lot of therapy to overcome my anxiety and control freak ways. While I learned excellent organizational skills, coupled with my Enneagram 1 drive for truth and justice, I now embrace the creativity and flexibility sides of my ADHD that allow me to see the solutions no one else sees and tailor those results to fit each mom’s unique situation.

I listen more than I talk. I encourage more than I instruct, but I will boss you with full oldest (of 5!) sister conviction when you start to talk about how much you suck. While your feelings are valid, you don’t have to stay there in the pit. You will leave me feeling more sure of yourself and have a clear plan for your next steps.

While I am an ADHD Coach, I’m also a certified Integrative Life Coach, middle school teacher, strategist, and implementer. I use neuroplasticity and neuroscience combined with art of taming big emotions to help you find the easy to implement solutions needed to work WITH your ADHD.

I will help you make a plan that fits your life, understand how your ADHD flavors everything you do, and then use those tendencies to work for you instead of against you.

You’ll leave our meetings with a clear plan on what to tackle next and how, either at home, in your business, or both. Plus the emotional regulation skills to banish burnout and overwhelm so you can make all of that happen.

About Patricia Sung

In my freshman year of college, I was diagnosed with ADHD in college after nearly failing out. It was a huge shock, both the ADHD and the failing since I graduated with honors and was on an academic scholarship at a top university.

After much trial and error, I was able to figure out the coping skills to get by and/or succeed in my teaching career, entrepreneurship, and life in general. Until I had kids.

My oldest son was only a couple of weeks old when I googled at 3 AM “how to be a good mom with ADHD” and there wasn’t much to find in 2015.

Once my youngest was almost a year old, I started the Motherhood in ADHD podcast to reach other ADHD moms who were struggling. I needed to know that I wasn’t the only one

I’m not.

My “hobby” ADHD podcast quietly grew into a Top 5 Parenting Podcast with over a million downloads, and a part-time business: speaking and teaching ADHD moms about how their brain works, because you can be successful when your brain works a little differently.

In full ADHD disclosure, yes, I’m a multi-passionate entrepreneur. I’ve also run our real estate business since 2007, along with several other businesses - some that have gone well and one that utterly imploded. I learned a lot more from our failed Makerspace than all of the successes combined. The failure still hurt though.

When I'm not wrangling my 2 young boys, you'll find me planning our next travel adventure with my husband, healing from chronic illness, volunteering at school or church, drooling over brand-new office supplies, or curled up with a YA fiction novel way past my bedtime.
