Should I tell my child he or she has ADHD?

This question frequently plagues parents of children with ADHD. We worry about labeling our kids, how others will treat our ADHD kids, if the label makes life harder, if our child will not overcome it, and on the anxiety spiral spins.
Here's what I do know as an adult who has ADHD, was not diagnosed until adulthood, and didn't have the knowledge.
